Releasing Pressure from the Hydraulic System
Release all the pressure in the hydraulic system before you work on the hydraulic system.
Release the Hydraulic Pressure from the Traction Circuit
NOTE: If parking the machine on an incline or slope, the pressure in the traction circuit does not release.
1. Move the machine to a level surface.
2. Lower the cutting deck.
3. Shut off the engine.
4. Turn the key switch to the OFF position and allow the engine to stop.
Release the Hydraulic Pressure from the Lift Circuit
1. Fully lower the cutting deck onto solid blocks.
2. Turn the key switch to the OFF position and allow the engine to stop.
3. After lowering the cutting deck, ensure that the lift cylinder does not support the cutting deck.
WARNING
Keep body and hands away from pinhole leaks or
nozzles that eject hydraulic fluid under pressure.
Use paper or cardboard, not hands, to search for
leaks. Serious injury may occur if hydraulic fluid
is injected into the skin.
WARNING
When disconnecting or replacing a hydraulic
hose, be sure to relieve all pressure from the
system by stopping the engine and lowering
or supporting the implement. Verify new hoses
are straight (not twisted) before tightening the
fittings.
