Operating the Self-Propel Drive and Engaging the Blades
To operate the self-propel drive, pull and hold the drive bail to the handle ( Figure 15 ).

To engage the blades, do the following:
1. Push and hold the blade-control lock lever forward to release the blade-control bail (A of Figure 16 ).
2. Pull the blade-control bail to the handle and release the blade-control-lock lever; the blade should engage

Figure 16 ).
3. Release the blade-control bail to disengage the blade (B of Figure 16 ). The blade-control-lock lever resets
to lock the blade-control bail.
