Traction Unit Requirements
These kits can be used on Reelmaster 3550 18-inch DPA
Cutting Unit (Models 03911 and 03912).
Note:
Determine the left and right sides of the machine
from the normal operating position.
Preparing for Setup
Ensure that you have the following tools available before
installing the groomer:

5/16 inch socket

7/16 inch socket
•
1/2 inch deep-well socket
•
9/16 inch deep-well socket
•
1/2 inch wrench
•
9/16 inch wrench (2)
• 5/16 inch Allen wrench
•
Needle-nose pliers
•
6 inch ruler, Toro part 114-5446
•
Flat screwdriver
•
Locking pliers
•
Torque wrench—20 to 26 N-m (15 to 19 ft-lb)
•
Torque wrench—37 to 45 N-m (27 to 33 ft-lb)
•
Torque wrench—46 to 54 N-m (34 to 40 ft-lb)
•
Torque wrench—115 to 128 N-m (85 to 95 ft-lb)
•
Reel drive shaft tool, part TOR4112
•
Blue 242 Loctite
•
Anti-seize compound
All cutting units are shipped with the counter weight mounted
to the left end of the cutting unit. Use the following diagram
to determine the position of the groomer kits and reel motors.

Note:
These instructions and illustrations show the
installation of the Left-Hand Groomer Kit onto the cutting
units with the counter weights mounted on the left end of the
cutting unit. Install the Right-Hand Groomer Kits onto the
cutting units with the counter weights mounted on the right
end of the cutting unit.
Note:
If you want to install a groomer and a brush,
obtain the appropriate Groomer and Brush Kit from your
Authorized Toro Distributor.
Installing the Groomer
1. Park the machine on a level surface and engage the
parking brake.
2. Ensure that the cutting units are disengaged. Lower
the cutting units to the ground. Turn the engine off
