Check the Hydraulic Hoses
and Tubes
No Parts Required
Procedure
Check the hydraulic tubes and hoses for leaks, loose fittings,
kinked lines, and loose mounting supports. Make necessary
repairs before operating.
Note:
Keep areas around the hydraulic system clean from
grass and debris build up.
WARNING
Hydraulic fluid escaping under pressure can
penetrate skin and cause injury. Fluid accidentally
injected into the skin must be surgically removed
within a few hours by a doctor familiar with this
form of injury or gangrene may result.
•
Keep body and hands away from pin hole leaks
or nozzles that eject high pressure hydraulic
fluid.
•
Use cardboard or paper to find hydraulic leaks.

Install the R-clamps removed previously using 2 screws
and lock nuts to secure the hydraulic tubes to the
machine frame shown in Figure 12.

Install the front tires using the fasteners removed
previously. Torque the lug nuts to 85-100 ft-lb.

Remove the machine from the jack stands and lower
the unit to the floor.

Check the hydraulic oil level. If necessary, add fluid
to the bring the level to the full mark on the dipstick.

for more information.
5.
Operate the machine to test for leaks. Shut down the
machine as specified in the
Operator's Manual
and check
for leaks in the hydraulic system.
6.
Check the hydraulic oil level one more time. If
necessary, add fluid to the bring the level to the full
mark on the dipstick. Refer to the
Operator's Manual
for more information.
