2.7.1.3. Connection via an autotransformer.

Starting condition

- Machine in place and stabilised.

Step

Key

Action / Observation

1.

Disconnect the autotransformer (3) from the local mains electrical 

installation (4).

• This is to be carried out by a qualified and authorised member of 

staff.

2.

Connect the autotransformer mains cable (3) on the machine 

terminal block (2).

• Minimum cable cross-section 6 mm²
• See 

figure 7

 below.

3.

Reconnect the autotransformer (3) to the local mains.

4.

Turn the main switch (1) "ON".

5.

Check the rotating field.

6.

Check the voltage at the socket.

• 220-240 V (Europe).
• 100-110 V (US).
