Starting the Unit and
Operating Specifics
Working without the
recycling function:
Recommended for use in
hygienic areas (hospitals,
food-processing industry),
or in the case of some
surface stripping
applications where there
is a considerable
accumulation of dirt.
Shut-down procedure
a. Move the “Water Supply” lever to “0” position.
b. Press the “Raise brush head” button.
Important
: Brush head (1) must always be kept in the raised position,
otherwise the brushes will become deformed. This can result in the
brushes running out-of-true, and even to destruction of the bearings.
c. Move the unit forwards by 1–2 m to take in any residual water.
d. Raise the suction bar (5). Turbine runs on for 10 sec.
e. Turn key switch to “0” position.
f. Apply the parking brake (18).
g. Drain off the dirty water:
Detach the drainage hose (9) from its holder, and unscrew the cap.
Lower the hose into a suitable container, and drain off the dirty water
(observe local regulations).
h. To complete the cleaning of the dirty-water tank, release the retaining
mechanism and tilt the tank forwards. Using a hose, rinse out the
inside (it is preferable to first remove the fresh-water bag from the
tank), or detach the quick-fitting coupling (41) and, with the aid of the
submerged pump, flush out the tank with the remaining fresh water.
Danger
! Press red “
Emergency STOP
” switch (23) to
instantaneously deactivate all functions. Switch is freed by
turning it slightly to the right, and releasing.
Plastic bag (3), hung inside the dirty-water tank (2), should be filled with
fresh water, to which a detergent may be added, if required. Pump (31)
is submerged within the plastic bag. In this mode only the fresh-water
and detergent solution is conveyed to the brushes (29). Dirty water is
retained in the tank surrounding the fresh-water bag.
Recycling mode:
Reuse of water in this way
is recommended in
conjunction with most
routine cleaning tasks as
it results in a reduction in
the time required to equip
the unit for cleaning, as
well as savings in
detergent consumption.
After the fresh water or detergent solution in the plastic bag (3) has been
consumed, and drawn back into the dirty-water tank (2), pump (31) can
be taken out of the fresh-water bag and submerged in the dirty-water
tank. The pump is fitted with a sufficiently fine filter to enable it to filter
the dirty-water and convey it to the brushes (29). In this mode it is
possible to operate without any form of fresh-water container. The
detergent solution is filled directly into the dirty-water tank.
