1. Before using the multimeter read instruction manual carefully and observe all instruc-
tions contained herein.
2. Keep the multimeter away from children.
3. Before taking a measurement ensure the multimeter is free from any defects that may
reduce user’s safety (damage of insulation, loosened screws etc.). Carefully check insu-
lation around test probes. If you observe any damage, it must be repaired. Protect the
multimeter against use until then.
4. Check continuity of test leads and insulation before taking a measurement. If they are
not in perfect technical condition, replace with new and without defect. For measure-
ments use only conductors supplied by the multimeter manufacturer, designed for this
type of device.
5. When in any doubts related to correct functioning of the multimeter deliver it to author-
ized service for inspection and repair.
6. Do not touch uncovered, conducting parts of live measurement circuit. Remember that ca-
pacitors may stay charged even after the power supply of measurement circuit is disconnected.
7. Before taking resistance measurements or diodes testing, disconnect measurement cir-
cuit from power supply and discharge all capacitors.
8. Disconnect power supply from measured circuit when measuring current. You can switch
on the power supply only after connecting in series test leads and current circuit.
9. Before taking voltage measurements ensure the selector switch of functions/ranges is
not set to current range.
10. Disconnect test leads from measuring circuit before each change of measurement range.
Before subsequent measurement ensure that correct terminals, functions and measure-
ment range are used.
11. Protect the multimeter against high and low temperatures, rain, moisture and sunlight.
Multimeter is designed for indoor use only.
12. Do not use the multimeter in hazardous explosive atmosphere, in rooms heavily dusted,
in vapours etc.
13. Do not allow the measured values to exceed selected measurement range.
14. Be careful when taking measurements of voltage exceeding 40V (DC) and 20V
rms
(AC).
Such voltage values may be dangerous for human. When taking such measurements
provide additional protection: working clothes, insulating boots, insulating pads etc.
15. For multimeter maintenance and repairs use original spare parts only, with specification
as provided by the manufacturer. Only authorized service points can repair/calibrate the
device.
16. To avoid false readouts that may lead to electric shock, replace the battery immediately
after you see information it is empty.
17. Do not use the multimeter and supplied test leads for measuring voltage higher than
600V or current higher than 10A (separate measurements).
18. Multimeter is caterogy II device. Do not use it for measurements reserved for category
III and IV devices.
