bres, kinks, broken rope strands or twists. If the
product is damaged, it may not be used anymore! Bring it to a specialised workshop
or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.
• When using the manual wire rope hoist, observe the safety and accident prevention
regulations applicable in your country.
Always use suitable protective gear (e.g. safety shoes, gloves, etc.).
• In schools, educational centres, hobby and self-help workshops the use of the product
is to be supervised by trained employees.
• Keep the product away from rain, dust and dirt. Also never let it fall from a great
height; it will become damaged and unusable.

Getting Started
☞
You will
fi
nd a
fi
gure with the description of the operating elements at the end of these
operating instructions.
Preparation
• First, carry out a visual inspection.
If you determine that there is damage (e.g. a damaged rope, hook, etc.), the manual wire rope
hoist may not be used.
• Put on suitable protective clothing, e.g. gloves.
Drawing out the rope
• Hang the hook “C” either on the load or on the suspension element. Check whether the safety
bar is closed.
• Press the release spring “H” so that the lever “E” moves freely and the release hook “I” does
not reach into the ratchet wheel “J”.
• Press and hold the lever “K” (it is on the locking hook “L”). The pulley is thereby unlocked.
• Now pull on the manual wire rope hoist so that the rope is drawn out.
In doing so, never reach into the mechanism of the manual wire rope hoist, injury
hazard!
Leave at least 3 rope windings on the pulley. Never completely unroll the rope from
the pulley!
Make sure that the rope is not drawn over corners or sharp edges. Also make sure
that the rope does not catch, twist or knot itself.
Tensioning the manual wire rope hoist
• Depending on which
fi
xing point (load or suspension element) you attached hook “C” to, now
attach hook “A” to the other
fi
xing point. Check whether the safety bar is closed.
• Release the lever “K” so that the locking hook “L” folds back into place by means of the built-in
spring.
• Press the release spring “H” so that the release hook “I” reaches into the ratchet wheel “J”.
• Now, when you turn the lever “E”, the release hook “I” moves the ratchet wheel “J” with the
pulley.
The locking hook “L” prevents the pulley from moving backward in this process.
• Move the lever “E” back and forth as often as needed until the rope is tensioned.
Hauling the load
• Move the lever “E” back and forth so that the release hook “I” turns the ratchet wheel “J” with
the pulley.
Before you haul the load over the desired distance, check at the beginning of the hauling
process whether the hooks “A” and “C” are correctly hung and whether the
fi
xing points for the
hauling process are stable enough.
• After the load has reached the desired location, it is to be secured in a suitable manner. For
example, if you have pulled a vehicle, secure it with the hand brake or wheel chocks or some-
thing similar.

• The maximum drawing force may not be exceeded (see chapter “Technical Data”).
• Do not work with a twisted or damaged wire rope hoist.
• Do not use a lever extension (to strengthen the leverage).
• Operate the lever only with human power, but never with other objects or machines.
• Never lay the rope around the load as a loop; rather, use only the hooks to secure
the load.
• Never completely unroll the rope from the pulley. Leave at least 3 rope windings on
the pulley.
• The product may not be used to lift loads or persons, but only to haul loads. The
product is also not suitable to draw vehicles, objects, etc. in which persons are still
