System BIOS Cacheable
Select Enabled allows caching of the system BIOS ROM at
F000h-FFFFFh, resulting in better system performance. However, if any
program writes to this memory area, a system error may result.
Memory Hole at 15MB Addr.
In order to improve performance, certain space in memory can be
reserved for ISA cards. This field allows you to reserve 15MB to 16MB
memory address space to ISA expansion cards. This makes memory from
15MB and up unavailable to the system. Expansion cards can only access
memory up to 16MB. By default, this field is set to
Disabled.
AGP Aperture Size
The field sets aperture size of the graphics. The aperture is a portion of
the PCI memory address range dedicated for graphics memory address
space. Host cycles that hit the aperture range are forwarded to the AGP
without any translation. The default setting is
64M .
CPU Host Clock (CPU/PCI)
Default
referes to the default settings for the CPU/PCI clock which are
66/33MHz and 100/33MHz , depending on the bus speed of the CPU you
have installed. If overclocking causes the system to be unstable, use the
defaults. Note that
112/37MHz , 124/41MHz and 133/44MHz settings are
only supported if your motherboard has an ICS 9148AF-58 clock
generator.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When your system does not boot because
the CPU has been changed, turn off the computer by pressing the
power button and turn it on again by pressing the
Insert key and the
power button simultaneously. (
Note to press the Insert key until an
image appears on the screen. ) When the system is turned on, press
the Delete key to enter BIOS Setup and configure the CPU speed.
Auto Detect DIMM/PCI Clk
When enabled, the system automatically shuts off clocks of unused
DIMM/PCI slots. This field is for CE testing use only.
Spread Spectrum
This field sets the value of the spread spectrum. Options are Disabled,
0.25
% (CNTR), and 0.50% (DOWN). The default setting is
Disabled
.
