that the clamping is by the hub of the tool and that 

the cutting edges are not in contact with each other 

or with the clamping elements.

Fastening screws and nuts shall be tightened using 

the  appropriate  spanners,  etc.,  and  to  the  torque 

value provided by the manufacturer.

Extension  of  the  spanner  or  tightening  using 

hammer blows shall not be permitted.

Clamping surface shall be cleaned to remove dirt, 

grease, oil and water.

Clamping screws shall be tightened according to 

instructions provided by the manufacturer. Where 

instructions are not provided, clamping screws shall 

be tightened in sequence from centre outwards.

Use  of  fixed  rings  or  flanged  bushes  shall  be 

permitted  if  made  and  fitted  to  manufacturer 

instructions.

ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION

If excessive vibrations are felt when using the router 

STOP IMMEDIATELY. The eccentricity of the router 

bit and the clamping system MUST be checked by 

competent personnel.
