12. CHANGING THE ROUTER BIT

Press the spindle lock and get the spindle to latch 

in  place.  Loosen  the  collet  nut  with  the  open-

ended spanner. Change the router bit and tighten 

the collet nut with the spanner.

Note:

 Remove all adjustment and assembly tools 

before starting the machine.

Router Bits

Use bits only with 6.35mm(1/4 inch),8mm(1/3 

inch), 12.7mm (1/2 inch)shanks with one of the 

supplied collets to suit. Most bits are available in 

two grades.

HSS

 (High Speed Steel) - for softwood use.

TCT

  (Tungsten  Carbide  Tipped)  -  for  use  on 

hardwood, chipboard, plastics or aluminium.
