ballasts and reflectors all plug into one unit. The digital based design of
the controller allows for the Medusa™ to properly flip and control your
grow lights. An easy to use trigger cord is plugged into the Apollo
®
Series timer (included) to control the switching between light banks.
When powered ON, the Medusa™ Series Flipper is powering bank
A by default. Once the trigger cord has been activated according the
user defined timing pattern, the digital part of the controller goes to
work. With precision timing, the Medusa™ Series flipper will turn OFF
the power to the ballasts, switch the relays to bank B and then reapply
power to the ballasts, lighting bank B. This controller also incorporates
Titan Controls
®
patented top off design for easy installation.
Instructions for Operation
•
The Titan Controls
®
Medusa™ - Four to Eight Light Digital Flipping
Controller must be installed by a certified Electrician.
•
Carefully remove the screws that attach the front cover and set the
cover aside.
•
Securely mount the Titan Controls
®
Medusa™ - Four to Eight Light
Digital Flipping Controller to the wall using the hardware included
near your enclosure but away from any spray/mist/water, etc.
•
Hardwire the controller into a confirmed 240 Volt – single phase
power source.
•
Connect the incoming 30 Amp – 240 VOLT neutral to the input
power terminal block & L1, L2 to the circuit breaker. Also, ground
the unit to a grounding lug located inside of the Titan Controls
®
Medusa™ - Four to Eight Light Digital Flipping Controller.
•
Verify that all of your connections are tight, set to torque
specifications and that no loose wires are exposed.
•
Apply power to the Titan Controls
®
Medusa™ - Four to Eight Light
Digital Flipping Controller and using a multi-meter or circuit tester,
test all ballast outlets to verify voltage output levels are correct. Left
outlets should be 240 Volts and right outlets should be 240 Volts.
•
After verifying that all voltages are correct, deactivate the Medusa™
controller. Attach ballasts and reflectors that are to be controlled by
the Titan Controls
®
Medusa™ - Four to Eight Light Digital Flipping
Controller.
•
Make sure all wires and cables are secured.
•
Plug 24-hour timer into 120V AC circuit, then plug trigger cord set
into timer. “Bank A” will operate in the ‘ON’ position and “Bank B”
will operate in the ‘OFF’ position.
Caution
: Lamps are hot and should be allowed to cool before
handling.
