Blade
Blade Installation
1. Ensure blade and collet surfaces are perfectly clean.
2. Fit blade onto saw arbor.
• The teeth must point in the direction of spin (bottom right).
3. Fit outer collet, lock washer, and saw blade lock screw onto
saw arbor.
4. Tighten saw blade lock screw.
• The saw blade lock screw is reverse-threaded: turn counter-
clockwise to tighten.
• Engage the arbor lock knob by pushing in while slowly rotating
the blade.
• Hold the arbor lock knob in place during final tightening of the
saw blade lock screw.
Warning: Ensure that arbor lock knob is no longer engaged before
closing the saw cabinet.
5. Close the saw blade cavity and the cabinet base.
• Close both latches on the saw blade cavity
6. Reconnect power and air, and confirm that the blade is
spinning in the correct direction.
• Start the blade, stop the blade, and watch through the throat
plate as it comes to a stop. Motion should be away from the
operator.
Maintenance
Blade Removal
1. Set the mitering angle to 30° left of zero.
2. Turn the saw off.
3. Disconnect power and air.
4. Open the front cabinet base door and saw blade cavity.
• The blade cavity has two latches (top right), front and bottom.
5. Loosen and remove the saw blade lock screw. The arbor
lock knob (middle right), located behind the saw blade cavity,
prevents the arbor from rotating with the saw blade lock
screw.
• The saw blade lock screw is a 3/4” (19.05 mm) hex head bolt.
• The saw blade lock screw is reverse-threaded: turn clockwise to
loosen.
• Engage the arbor lock knob by pushing in while slowly rotating
the blade.
• Hold the arbor lock knob in place during initial loosening of the
saw blade lock screw.
6. Remove outer collet and saw blade.
Blade sharpness can affect cut quality, accuracy, and waste. Replace or resharpen blades whenever cut quality or stroke
speed declines.
