7. Battery
7.1. Battery indication
The latest battery status is symbolised by a
three-stage battery indicator.

Attention!
When the empty battery symbol flashes, no more
measurements can be performed and the battery
has to be replaced immediately.
7.2 Replacing the battery
Loosen the screw at the back of the instrument
which secures the battery compartment lid, remove
the lid.
Change the batteries while observing the polarity.
The device requires 2 x 1,5 V AAA LR03 (alkali-
manganese) batteries.
In case of leaked batteries, you have to remove the
electrolyte completely.
Put the lid back on the battery compartment and
screw it tight.
In case of a long storage period, remove the batteries
from the device.
Note:
Included in the scope of delivery are two batteries.
These batteries are not to be charged.
Attempting to charge these may cause risk to
personal safety and damage to the equipment. The
batteries may not to be opened. Batteries must not
be disposed with the domestic waste. Please, return
batteries at a local retailer or municipal recycling
depot. Return is free of charge and required by law.
8. Maintenance
8.1 General information
The MultiSafe is absolutely mainteinance-free. Never-
theless, observe the following information in order to
maintain safe operation:
Always keep the voltage tester dry and clean. The
housing can be cleaned with a cloth dampened with
isopropyl (alcohol) or soapy water.
