A note on Speaker Cable;
TIC recommends the use of our SPC
30, 50 or 100’ double insulated high
quality speaker cable, however just about any reasonable speaker cable may
be used including existing runs tha
t may be in place. For standard 8Ω
installations of 10
– 50ft., just about any 14/16 gauges 2 core cables can
usually be used although we would prefer a double insulated or burial spec
cable be used. For longer runs of 50
– 100ft. 12 gauge cable can be used
however resistance down the line will become a contributing factor.
Please visit TIC Corporations website at

and review the
Audio Installation Basics articles under Technical Resources for more in depth
exterior audio and cable guidelines.
An Important note on Polarity!
Pleasure proper polarity when connecting your new TIC outdoor speakers.
This is very important and will result in poor sound reproduction and possibly
equipment damage if not connected correctly. This is normally avoided by
en to + and
– to –
or as sometimes color coded Red to Red and Black
to Black from your amplified source to your speakers respectively.
5. Once you have checked the components and tested the system ready
for exterior install, recheck your cable runs carefully marking the correct
channel for each speaker.
6. Mount your speakers carefully using the supplied mounting brackets for
each patio speaker.
7. Connect you new TIC Patio Speakers at the speaker end first ensuring
enough “play” in the cable to allow angle adjustment as necessary.
8. Reconnect the speakers to your receiver amplifier being careful to
ensure correct “Polarity”
(+ to + and
– to –)
matching.
9. TIC speakers are factory pre-set to standard 8
Ω.
