CLEANING
WARNING:
TURN OFF ALL POWER TO COFFEE BREWER COMPARTMENT.
EXCESSIVE WATER MAY CAUSE SHORT CIRCUIT. USE A DAMP
CLOTH ONLY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE ANY SOLVENTS, DEGREASERS SUCH AS
DETERGENTS, AEROSOL SPRAYS, ETC. AS THESE HARM
SWITCHES AND MAR PLASTIC PARTS SUCH AS THE BREW
CHAMBER AND DAMAGE THE FINISH ON THE PAINTED PARTS.
THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE CLEANSER IS A CLOTH MOISTENED IN
WATER, PREFERABLY WARM.
NOTE:
Cleaning intervals between operators will vary due to water quality.
Inspection and cleaning of brewer tank and plumbing should occur at
regular intervals based on operator’s experience.
NOTE:
The primary cause of slow brew cycles is the buildup of mineral
deposits in the heater block.
Method 1
1.
Operate coffee brewer until water tank is empty.
NOTE: Handle with care as unit may be hot.
2.
Flush mineral deposits from the brew system using an automatic coffee
brewer cleaning solution available from local retail outlets. Cycle cleaning
solution through the coffee brewer according to package directions and follow
all instructions to flush residue from coffee brewer.
3.
Clean all external surfaces using warm water. Particular care must be taken
to remove coffee residue that may have accumulated within the moving areas
such as the pot retainer. Mild soap may be used if necessary.
Method 2 (Alternate)
1.
Operate coffee brewer until water tank is empty.
NOTE: Handle with care as unit may be hot.
