and remote commands are disabled (52 local Off, 52 remote Off).the output relay opening and closing 

command minimum duration (ttr1...4), which may be set within the range 0.01….1.00 s, must be set 

on the basis of the characteristics of the breaker being controlled. 

the breaker closure command (by means of the front panel button or controlled remotely via the se-

rial port) is only enabled when the protective device is in the resting state with the trip indicator LeDs 

(50-51 and 50N-501N) off; in the case of the prior tripping of a protective function, it is necessary to 

reset the trip indication (reSet).

Manual opening and closing commands are only considered valid if they have a duration exceeding 

a preset value (tVAL) of 200 ms.

Output opening and closing commands are mutually exclusive, in the case of the simultaneous op-

eration of the buttons, priority is given to the open command. 

By means of the Modbus command over the rS485, thySetter or locally (MMI) it is possible to: 

- enable/disable the breaker open/close buttons,

- enable/disable diagnostic monitoring of the breaker status; when diagnostic monitoring is disabled 

(52 check Off) the flashing of the LeDs is deactivated along with the alarm commands on the relay 

possibly programmed for breaker diagnostics (Self test 52) 

Selection of the breaker closure function on a output relay excludes the possibility of programming 

any other functions on the same relay. 

the breaker diagnostic monitoring function (Self test 52) may be configured in association with the 

general self-test function with the same method. 

remote control of the breaker may also be activated by Modbus on the rS485 and thySetter; issuing 

the opening and closing commands is enabled (if 52 remote On) regardless of the position of the key 

switch.
