Cleaning and Appearance Care

3. Wash your electric balancer with a sponge or a soft towel. As you wash, 

check for heavy grime. If necessary, use a mild cleaner/ degreaser to re-

move the grime.

4. After washing, rinse your electric balancer thoroughly with plenty of 

clean water to remove any residue.

5. Dry your electric balancer with a chamois or a soft towel. Leaving water 

on the surface to air dry can cause dulling and water spots. As you dry, 

inspect for chips and scratches.

6. As a precaution, ride at a slow speed and apply the brakes several times.

This will help dry the brakes and restore normal braking performance.

TIPS

Here’s helpful advice on how to prepare for an off-road adventure, 

how to transport and store your Thumpstar electric balancer, and how to 

be an environmentally responsible electric balancer owner.

Spraying WD40 or similar product on metal parts will help protect the 

electric balancer 

(never spray WD40 near the brakes)
