CAUTION HOT SURFACES: This appliance generates heat and escaping steam
during use. Proper precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, fires
or other injury to persons or damage to property.
CAUTION: This Theater Popcorn Maker is hot during operation and retains heat
for some time after turning OFF. Allow to cool before cleaning. Do not place
anything on top of the appliance while it is operating or while it is hot. Do not
empty the kettle during operation.
1. All users of this appliance must read and understand this instruction manual
before operating or cleaning this appliance.
2. The cord to this appliance should be plugged into a 120 V AC electrical outlet
only. Always connect the electrical cord between the popping kettle and the
main unit first, and then connect the main power cord into a wall outlet. The
popping kettle should NOT be connected to ANY electrical cord or receptacle
not included in this unit.
3. If this appliance begins to malfunction during use, immediately press the
ON/ OFF switch to OFF (O) and unplug the cord. Do not use or attempt to
repair the malfunctioning appliance.
4. NEVER use near water, damp or high humidity area. Extra caution is necessary
when using this product near small children or pets.
5. Keep door closed while operating. Do not touch kettle while operating
– this area gets HOT. Kettle surface is HOT and should NOT be touched during
popping or immediately after use.
6. NEVER open the door while corn is popping. After the popping is complete,
empty the kettle using the external trigger switch, turn OFF the unit and then
open the door to access the pop-corn. Wait for the unit to cool down before
touching it with bare hands after the unit has been turned OFF.
7. Remove all un-popped kernels in the kettle before filling with fresh kernels or
next batch.
8. Never use microwave popcorn in this appliance. Use traditional kernels only.
WARNING:
Popcorn is produced with kernels quickly. During this process it is
normal for some un-popped kernels to remain in the kettle. DO NOT pick up
these kernels as they are very HOT!
9. Extreme caution must be used when unloading popcorn. Always turn the unit
over a counter-top so that residual hot oil will not cause burns
10. The use of any accessory or attachment not provided or recommended by
manufacturer may cause injury. NEVER FORCE ANY PARTS OR BRACKETS
INTO POSITION.
WARNING:
Stay clear of the kettle while the appliance is operating.
Notes on the Cord
The provided short power-supply cord should be used to reduce the risk resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Longer detachable
power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply cord or extension cord
is used.
1. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at
least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
2. The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
