Optical and Mechanical Mounting Considerations
For the best results, the use of a C-
mount lens that matches the optical format of the sensor’s imaging area is
recommended (refer to the sensor specifications starting at Chapter 5). For more information on Thorlabs C-

3.4.1. Using a C-Mount Lens
C-mount lenses are specified with a flange focal distance of 17.5 mm. The Zelux cameras come with a standard
SM1 threaded bore. Thorlabs offers a fixed depth SM1 to C-mount adapter, catalog number SM1A10Z that can
be purchased on our web site.
