Preparing the Coring Knife
The Coring Knife has two protective end caps held in place by a string. Using strict sterile
technique, complete the following procedure:
1. Cut the string securing the end caps to the Coring Knife ( Figure 5.24 ).

2. Take the Coring Knife handle and insert it through the holes in the side of the Coring Knife
( Figure 5.25 ).

3. Insert the handle so it creates a "T" handle ( Figure 5.26 ).
This enables handling of the tool during surgical procedure.
