Rating limit
Rating
This feature allows you to control the type of discs or programme your family can watch. If some discs contain
information, or scenes which exceed the rating limit you have set, they will not be played.
•
When with the
arrows for selection, press
ok to confirm.
This function only works with DVDs that have been assigned a rating limit by the publisher and, therefore,
it is disc-dependent.

If a disc is playing, press STOP.

Call the main menu, with the
menu key.

Select "Rating Limit" ; press key number 5.

Enter the "0000" password the first time
(factory default setting).

To set rating limit, press key number 1.

Set the rating system to the limit you want with the
▲ ▼
arrows and confirm with
ok to permit or
prohibit playback of unsuitable scenes or (adult)
programmes.
•
The highest number allows all titles played, whereas "1" will
be the most restrictive
.

If you have selected limit 8 or lower, choose a
personal 4-digit password and enter it with the
number keys, to lock the limit and keep it from
being changed (optional) (page 41).
•
The rating is locked. Any disc whose rating is higher than your
setting cannot be played unless the correct password is
entered.
•
The closed padlock icon shows that the setting is locked now.

To exit main menu, press the
return key twice.
•
Not all DVD discs include rating information that make the
rating system work, though their case may say that they are
"for adults only". Consequently, discs without rating
information will be played, even if the player is locked by a
code.
Do not forget your secret password !
