4. Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry. Make sure there is no food
debris on the cooking element.
5. Put the inner pot back into the cooker, insuring that it is placed
correctly.
6. To lock the lid, hold the lid handle, place the lid on the unit, and align
the
mark on the lid edge with the Open mark of the outer pot. Turn
the lid clockwise about 30 degrees, until the
mark on the lid is
aligned with the Closed mark on the edge of the outer pote.
If the lid is not properly locked in place, the electric pressure cooker
has a safety feature: the screen shows Lid and the unit beeps. When
using Soup, Poultry, Meat/Stew, Slow Cook, Rice, Steam, Por-
ridge, and Yogurt functions, the lid should be closed in place. When
using Sauté function, the lid should be opened. When using Keep
Warm and Slow Cook functions, the lid can be opened.
7.
Ensure that the Steam Release Handle is in the correct position:
a.
Sealing for Rice, Soup, Poultry, Meat/Stew, Bean/Chili,
Multigrain, Porridge, Steam, Pressure Cook, Cake and
Manual.
b.
Venting for Slow Cook, Yogurt and
Keep Warm.
Please note : It is normal and necessary that
the Steam Release Handle is loose. It is installed
on the top of the exhaust pipe. If needed,
remove it and clean it. If the tip of the Steam
Release Handle is aligned with Sealing when
using the function Keep Warm, Slow Cook
