Surveyor MSQ Plus Hardware Manual

Thermo Scientific

Turning the MS Detector Off from Xcalibur

To turn off the MS detector from the Info View - Status page of Xcalibur

1. If you are using the optional cone wash pump, turn it off by turning its power switch to

the Off position.

2. If Xcalibur is not open, open it by double-clicking the

Xcalibur

icon on the Windows

desktop.

3. If the Info view is not displayed, choose

View > Info View

to display it. Then, click the

Status tab to open the Status page.

4. To turn off the flow from the LC pump:

• If your LC pump is controlled from the Xcalibur data system, right-click the pump

listing on the Status page. Then, choose

Turn Device Into Standby

from the

shortcut menu. See

Figure 76

• If your LC pump is not controlled from the Xcalibur data system, turn it off from its

control keypad.

5. Right-click the Surveyor MSQ listing on the Status page. Then, choose

Turn Device Off

from the shortcut menu to place the MS detector in the Off mode. See
