This message appears:
•
when the unit detects that the drive motor for the vertical movement
(elevation/agitation) malfunctions, or
•
if the position sensors are damaged and do not detect the vertical
movement
When the vertical motor starts, if the unit does not detect activation of
the corresponding vertical position sensor within 2 (two) minutes, the
message VERTICAL FAILURE is displayed on the screen.
Check procedure
The check procedure is, essentially, the same as that described for the
horizontal motor, with the following differences:
•
the readings should be taken between terminals 53(+) and 54(-) of
the same BASCAR V15 circuit board
•
the readings should be taken during the raise/lower movements
after pressing the
€
key
•
the output voltage of the circuit board is 12 V DC
•
the polarity is inverted depending on whether the movement is up or
down.
The criteria for replacement of the motor or the circuit boards are the
same as for horizontal movement.
This message appears when the control system detects a malfunction
in the sensors or microswitches that detect movement of the unit.
Check the vertical
position sensors
First of all determine whether it is a malfunction in the vertical position
sensors, the microswitches, or the BASCAR V15 circuit board.
Proceed to dismantle the base of the unit as indicated on pages 9 and
10.
Pay close attention to the precautions described in ATTENTION
and WARNING
Before verifying the inputs to the BASCAR V15 circuit board and the
position sensors, make sure that the wiring between the sensors and
microswitches has not been changed and corresponds to the wiring
diagram enclosed in the appendix.
In order to check correct operation of the unit's sensors and
microswitches, the BASCAR V15 circuit board incorporates 8 LEDs
which correspond to each of the elements, as shown in the photo and
table below:
