ISQ 7000 Hardware Manual

Thermo Scientific

Source Retainer Magnets, Magnet Yoke, Source Insertion Guide, Source Magnets 
and Front Manifold O-ring

To replace the source retainer magnets, magnet yoke, source insertion guide, source 
magnets, or front manifold o-ring on the manifold door

1. Shut down your system by following the steps in 

“Shutting Down the ISQ 7000 System” 

on 

page 149

.

2. Use a T20 Torxhead screwdriver to remove the four screws around the manifold door. 

Note  

For information about replacing the tray alignment pin or the o-ring on the back 

manifold plate, see

.

Note

Note  

You do not have to remove the ion source cartridge or the column. However, you 

must vent the instrument.
