Investigating Temperature Issues

ISQ 7000 Hardware Manual

Thermo Scientific

Transfer line overheats.

Possible Remedies

Make sure the filament wires are not frayed, touching the analyzer tray, or disconnected from the source interface board.

Remove the right side panel and disconnect the 4-pin connector to the transfer line, as described in

4- Pin Feedthrough

. Then make sure

the resistance of the heater circuit is approximately 6 ohms and the resistance of the heater sensor is 50 to 300 ohms. If necessary,
replace the transfer line. See

Lens/Source Heater

for details. Make sure the leads to the heaters and sensors are not electrically shorted

to the tray.
