Gas Supply
The iCAP RQ instruments require argon gas to generate the inductively
coupled plasma and for controlling internal functions with the aid of
pneumatics. Additional gases might be required depending on the type
of analysis planned.
The iCAP RQ instruments use approximately 16 L/min (max.
24 L/min) of argon. It is essential that the gases be delivered with the
necessary pressure and purity.
NOTICE
All gas flow rates given relate to standard conditions.

NOTICE
When operating the iCAP RQ instrument with hazardous gas,
an external warning sensor must be installed in the vicinity of the
instrument. In case of the iCAP RQ ICP-MS 2-channel systems, a
hydrogen sensor must be installed in the vicinity of the instrument.
