The 8-segment programmable 3216c controller consists of microprocessor based
three-mode PID (Proportional, Integral and Derivative) and appropriate output switching
devices to control the furnace. The programmable controller can be used as a single set
point controller or as a programmable controller. The 8-segment digital model enables
eight segments of programming. The controller is capable of varying temperature or
process value with time through programming. A program is stored as a series of
segments and can be run once, repeated a set number of times or run continuously.
