OPERATING MANUAL – 525N - 30 OLTS

DEFINE STANDARDS

To  create a selection of standard masks for use
when calculating loss thresholds, perform the fol-
lowing:
From the Tools screen, use the UP/DOWN arrow
keys to highlight the     DEFINE STANDARDS
function, then press the Enter button.  The Select
Standard screen will be displayed.
Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys to highlight the
standard to be edited, and press the ENTER but-
ton.  The Standard screen will be displayed.

dB/km:   

Use the LEFT/RIGHT & UP/DOWN 

arrow buttons to input the loss per 
Kilometer for each wavelength.  Press
ENTER to move to the next line.

dB/Conn:

Use the LEFT/RIGHT & UP/DOWN 

arrow buttons to input the loss per con-
nector.  Press ENTER to move to the 
next line.

dB/Splc:

Use the LEFT/RIGHT & UP/DOWN 

arrow buttons to input the loss per 
splice.  Press ENTER to move to the 
next line.

Note:

To edit the name of this standard, press 
the ENTER button to move to the top 
line of the of the screen.   Use the 
LEFT/RIGHT & UP/DOWN arrow but-
tons to edit the name to be displayed.

Press the EXIT softkey to return to the  
Tools screen.
