) to the high pressure hose.
3. Bring the cutting head into a proper cutting position. The blades should cut the cable in a vertical position to avoid
undesired shearing forces.
4. Actuate the pump until the blades completely overlap and the cable is completely cut.
4.2 Explanation of the application range
Our electric-hydraulic cutting tool can cut copper and aluminium cables up to a maximum diameter of 32 mm.
Attention
Do not cut steel reinforced cables/conductors, ground rod, guy wire etc.
Attention
Do only cut fi ne stranded cables acc. to EN 60228 cat. 5&6 near the pivot (see § 5).
If different conducting materials have to be cut, please contact the manufacturer.
Attention
This tool is not insulated. Do not use on or near energised electrical lines.
Before starting to cut please make sure that all parts involved in the cutting process are not connected to live cir-
cuits.
4.3 Service and maintenance instruction
The hydraulic tool must be cleaned and dried after each use. The cutting head must be examined for possible dama-
ges. The hydraulic hose and the armature must be checked for damage and leakage.
The unit must be sent to an authorized service center (ASC) after reaching 20.000 cycles or at the latest after one
year.
During this service worn out parts will be exchanged, safety relevant components checked and possibly replaced pre
cautiously. This provision serves your safety and avoids failures through fatigue.
