Define Assembly-Time Constant

Syntax

symbol .set value

Description

The .set directive equates a constant value to a symbol. The symbol can then
be used in place of the value in assembly source. This allows you to equate
meaningful names with constants and other values.

The

symbol must appear in the label field.

The

value must be a well-defined expression; that is, all symbols in the ex-

pression must be previously defined in the current source module.

Example

This example shows how to assign symbols with .set.
