Time Shift.
This recorder allows time shifting. You may record a programme to HDD and view it as it is recording with
a time delay.
Method 1. Time shift with Title Generation.
To enter Time Shift, select HDD. Press SWITCH and select HDD.
Select the source, i.e TV or DTV.
Press the RECORD button. This is now recording in “real time”. To start “Time Shift” press PLAY.
Press DISPLAY to see the progress of the recording.
The display will show the “Time Recorded” and the Time played.
You may use the Fast Forward and Fast Reverse buttons, but if you “Fast forward” to within 5 seconds of
the actual recorded time, the recorder will exit Time Shift.
To exit Time Shift, press the STOP button once, the recorder will then Record in “real time”. To stop the
recording fully, press the STOP button again.
Method 2. Time Shift without Title Generation.( i.e
not stored on HDD).
Press SOURCE to select TV or DVT.
Select the programme you wish to record.
Press “PAUSE” to enter the Time Shift mode. You have now entered the “Time Shift “ mode and the
picture will be Paused. Press DISPLAY to see the progress of the recording.
A Progress Bar is displayed at the bottom of the picture (Fig
54
) shows the amount of “Buffer” space used
(up to 2 hrs).
Press PLAY to view the recording from the start of the Recording.

the actual recorded time, the recorder will exit Time Shift.
