Connecting the satellites
To do this, cut the cable
to the required lengths.
Strip the plastic coat-
ing from the ends of the
speaker cables (as shown). The speakers and am-
plifier have corresponding [+] and [–] terminals.
The [+] cable of the speaker cable is marked with
a stripe. It is important that you observe the
correct polarity when connecting the speakers:
the plus pole of the speaker to the plus pole of
the amplifier and the minus pole of the speaker
to the minus pole of the amplifier. Connecting
the cables with the incorrect phases can result
in thin sound, weak bass and reduced stereo
characteristics. For multichannel surround sys-
tems, too, it is important that all speakers are
connected with the correct polarity in order to
ensure an appropriate three-dimensional atmos-
phere and the correct alignment of the sound.
Connect the speakers to the correspondingly
marked clamp connections on the rear of the
subwoofer; i.e. the front left speaker to FL and
the rear left speaker to RL and so on.
