Safety information

Please read the following

safety information carefully.

Risk of suffocation – keep

packaging materials

(e.g. the plastic film) out of the

reach and sight of children.

Risk of electrocution – do not

leave children unsupervised with

electrical appliances!

1. Set-up

Please  note  the  labelling  on  the  back  of  the  IP
400 DR player/receiver. This provides information
on the required mains voltage.
In order to ensure sufficient heat dissipation, set
up  your  IP  400  DR  player/receiver  either  free-
standing  or  leave  a  ventilation  gap  of  at  least
7–10 cm. Do not block the ventilation openings on
the device itself.

∫  Please do not close the disc drawer by hand.
∫  Do not stack this appliance on top of other ap-

pliances.

∫  Please switch off all connected appliances and

the IP 400 DR player/receiver before moving it.

∫  Switch  off  all  components  and  the  IP  400  DR

player/receiver before connecting or changing
the cables.

∫  Please remove the inserted discs after opera-

tion and switch the IP 400 DR player/receiver
off, especially if the appliance is not going be
used for a long period of time.

2. For your safety

A laser is used in this product. Any usage of this
product that does not comply with the intended
applications (playing back sound and images) may
result in serious health consequences.

Never open the casing or try to make repairs. Al-
ways contact qualified service staff.

3. Caution

∫  The IP 400 DR player/receiver is not designed

for industrial use, only for home/personal use.

∫  Please do not place items containing liquids on

the appliance.

∫  External influences such as storms and static

discharges  can  affect  the  functioning  of  the
appliance.  If  this  happens,  please  switch  the
IP 400 DR player/receiver off and on again. Al-
ternatively, please remove the mains plug from
the socket and insert it again.

∫  If  there  are  significant  temperature  fluctua-

tions, this can lead to condensation forming in
the IP 400 DR player/receiver which may affect
its operation. If this happens, leave the appli-
ance  switched  off  at  room  temperature  for
several hours and then check whether the ap-
pliance starts properly.

4. Disc

∫  Never  use  record  cleaning  sprays,  benzene,

thinner  or  other  volatile  chemicals  to  clean
discs, because they could destroy the surface
of the disc.

∫  Try not to touch the disc’s playing surface. Hold

the disc around the edge or between the edge
and central hole.

∫  Wipe away dirt softly with a piece of cloth, but

never rub the disc’s playing surface.

5. In case of emergency:

If any of the following occur, disconnect the appli-
ance from the mains and consult our technicians:

∫  If the plug or cable are damaged
∫  If foreign bodies or liquid have entered the ap-

pliance

rain or other water

∫  If the appliance does not play, even though you

have followed the operating instructions

∫  If the appliance has been dropped or damaged
