Please consider the recommendations regarding circumference reduction for
Alpha® Silicone and Alpha® Gel Liners.
The extent of the reduction depends on the limb conditions. A guide value for muscular
limbs is 3%. For limbs with a lot of soft tissue the guide value is about 5%.
These percentages should only be considered a rough rule of thumb. In any case the
orthopedic technician should conduct an individual, thorough assessment and make the
final decision.
