OPERATION INSTRUCTION
1. Checking the Batteries
lf the display shows'~" or the display is blank alter you switch the tester on, replace
the batteries immediately.
2. Testing the Grounding Voltage
Waming: Don't test any voltage which is above AC200V.
a.
Set the function/range switch to "EARTH V" position.
b.
Connect the red voltage test lead (or the red normal-test Iead ) to "V" terminal.
Connect the black voltage test Iead ( or the green normal-test lead ) to "E"
terminal.
c.
Connect the voltage test leads ( or the clips) to the two points between which
the voltage is to be measured.
d.
Read the reading on the display.
3. Testing the Grounding Resistance
Waming: Thera is a voltage up to 50V between "E" terminal and "C" terminal, or between "E"
terminal and "P" terminal. Don't touch the metal of the fest leads with finger or skin for safety.
a.
Before measuring, make sure the plugs of normal-test leads have been well
inserted into the specified terminals. lf the plug connections are loose, the
measurement will be not accurate.
b.
Make sure the grounding voltage of the earth electrode
to be measured is lass than 10V, otherwise the grounding resistance
measurement will be not accurate. You can turn off the instruments which use
the earth electrode to decrease the grounding voltage before measuring
grounding
resistance.
c.
The stabile of reading may be affected ff you do measurement near a large
voltage transformer. You can turn off this voltage transformer beforehand or
select another measurement position.
