3.2 Head Hook Fitment
3.2.1 Configuration 1
– 0-20°
Assembly of the head hook is a multiple person job.
Lower the boom so the head hook can be assembled to the head.
Head Hook configuration 1 best for lifts between 0-20°
1. Slide the lower inner and outer sections of the head hook into each
other, fit pins T167845 into the holes and secure with lynch pins
– see
above.
2. Pin the lower sections to the lower connection point of the boom head,
let it hang until top and lower sections are ready to be joined.
3. Slide the upper inner and outer sections of the head hook into each
other, fit one pin T167844 to connect them and secure with a lynch pin.
4. Pin the upper sections to the upper connection point of the boom head.
5. Then join the top and bottom head hook sections using the other
T167844 pin and secure with a lynch pin.
NOTE
Assembly steps for Configuration 2 & 3 are similar but the sections are pinned
differently as shown in images 3.2.2 and 3.2.3
