GPIO Expansion

Users can connect GPIO expansion card onto either GPIO-0 header or the GPIO-1 header located

on the DE4 board as shown in

Figure 4–6

. Select the daughter card you wish to add to your design

under the appropriate GPIO header where the daughter card is connected to. The system builder

will automatically generate the associated pin assignment including the pin name, pin location, pin

direction, and IO standard.

If a customized daughter board is used, users can select “GPIO Default” followed by changing the

pin name, pin direction, and IO standard according to the specification of the customized daughter

board.
