TO ADJUST GOVERNOR (LSG ENGINE)
FOR SAFETY: Before Leaving Or Servicing

Machine: Stop On Level Surface, Set The

Parking Brake.

1. Raise the rear of the machine until the drive

wheel is off the floor.

FOR SAFETY: Block machine tires before

jacking machine up. Jack machine up at

designated locations only. Block machine up

with jack stands.

2. Start the engine and warm to operating

temperature.

3. Move the speed switch to idle, all

accessories off.

4. Move speed switch to fast position.

5. If more than three engine speed surges

occur, turn the surge adjustment screw

(located on back of governor control box

under hole plug) counterclockwise

one-eighth of a turn.

6. Repeat this procedure until less than three

engine surges occur.

7. Replace the hole plug if removed for

adjustment.
