10. To decrease the width of the main brush

pattern, turn the main brush down pressure

knob clockwise

Light

11. If the main brush pattern is tapered, more

than 15 mm (0.5 in) on one end than the

other, adjust the taper at the drive end of the

brush.

A. Loosen the brush drive end plate

mounting bolts.

B. Turn the taper adjustment nut

counter-clockwise to increase the

pattern width at the brush drive end,

and clockwise to decrease the pattern

width at the brush drive end. Tighten

the drive end plate mounting bolts.

C. Check the main brush pattern and

readjust as necessary. Then adjust the

width of the main brush pattern.

12. For maximum brush life always use the

minimum pattern to get good pickup. If the

brush is adjusted to a large pattern for an

uneven surface or a depression, it should be

returned to the lighter pattern as soon as

possible.
