Chapter 8 Run-Time Alerts

a. USER FUNCTION PARAMETER SETTINGS

The TX Console comes with fixed values for select User function parameter settings. These
values cannot be changed.

Priming ... Please Wait

Prime button pressed: will clear when priming cycle is complete.

Vac Test Failed! Prime again

Cannot build sufficient vacuum during priming cycle: check the tube set for open

connections or leaks.
Verify no visible kinks in microtip tubing. Deflate inflation cuff by disconnecting

air fitting. Depress the cartridge release button and remove cartridge. Verify

tubing is centered within the two grooves on the cartridge. Reinstall cartridge

and inflation cuff. Press foot pedal. Listen for irrigation pinch valve operation

click. Prime again.
Perform manual priming as follows:
1. Cycle the power switch on the rear of the Console OFF and then

back ON.

2. Select irrigation ON, aspiration HIGH, and cutting power OFF.

3. Depress the foot pedal until the Inflation Cuff is tight around the

irrigation bag and the needle cap is filled with irrigation fluid.

4. Select cutting power LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH and depress the Foot

Pedal to test ultrasonic power.

Fluid Path Blocked! Prime Again

Vacuum too high during priming cycle: check tubing setup. Check that fluid is

flowing; check tube set is not pinched or blocked.
Verify no visible kinks in microtip tubing. Deflate inflation cuff by disconnecting

air fitting. Depress the cartridge release button and remove cartridge. Verify

tubing is centered within the two grooves on the cartridge. Reinstall cartridge

and inflation cuff. Press foot pedal. Listen for irrigation pinch valve operation

click. Prime again.

Priming Successful

Prime cycle is compete.

RUN TIME MESSAGES

Select Irrigation Settings

System is ready for input of IRRIGATION parameter setting.

Select Aspiration Settings

System is ready for input of ASPIRATION parameter setting.

Select Cutting Power Settings

System is ready for input of CUTTING POWER parameter setting.

Check Handpiece

TX MicroTip not plugged in or TX MicroTip failure.
Ensure electrical connector is properly installed. Remove and reinstall.
Check for faulty or damaged microtip.
Confirm foot pedal is properly installed.

Check Cassette

Cassette not seated all the way down: should click into place when seated

correctly.
