Logging
ARC has three logs available for download when the
Logging button
(A) is enabled:
♦
A 6-hour rolling loudness log for each program path
♦
A loudness event log
♦
A system event log
Logs will typically download to the “Downloads” folder unless you have deliberately changed the location for downloads on
your computer.
Loudness Logs
Clicking on the
Download Loudness Log button
(B) will download three csv files: A 6-hour rolling loudness log for each
program path, plus a loudness event log.
The loudness event log will contain instances where the output loudness level has fallen below or exceeded the target output
level according to the recommendations and regulations associated with the current APTO processing profile (such as EBU R
128 and ATSC A/85).
Other audio-related events include:
♦
Input audio falling below -70dB (indicating the loss of input audio)
♦
Input audio rising above -70dB (indicating the return of input audio)
♦
Changes to the reference clock source
♦
Invalid reference clock
♦
Unit being placed into bypass
System Logs
Clicking on the
Download System Log button
(C) will download a .log file that can be opened with a text editor such as
Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac). This log will report any system-related issues and can be used by customer support
for diagnostic and trouble-shooting purposes.
