Sinus 154 media links your television or stereo equipment with your PC. Using infrared remote control, you can
select digital data you have stored on your PC and play it back on your television. You have access to music
and video files, digital photos and images, and, if you have an Internet connection, you also have access to
material offered by Internet radio stations.
Sinus 154 media is an independent network adapter offering wireless or wired network connection to your PC.
The provision of multimedia files and communication between Sinus 154 media and the network is controlled
by media server software which you install on a PC available in this network.
Carefully follow the security information, system requirements, installation steps and warranty conditions as
described in full in the Sinus 154 media user guide (please see the CD-ROM supplied with the pack).
This Quick Start Guide shows you how to connect and configure your Sinus 154 media and then how to con-
nect it to your television.
It is relatively simple for unauthorised persons to penetrate communications over a wireless network. By means
of encryption technology, the Sinus 154 range of products offers effective protection against such unauthor-
ised attempts to listen in. Sinus 154 media is compatible with the WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) encryption
standard which enables encryption with code lengths of either 64 bits (10 characters) or 128 bits
(26 characters).
