Set-up transmitter with 2-wire technology
3.3 Setting the pre-amplifier
In case of very long distances or in case of
unsatisfying quality in the video signal received,
you may increase the pre-amplifier by +10 dB.
Use the jumper J1 to set the pre-amplifier:
▸
Jumper J1 plugged in: gain +10 dB
▸
Jumper J1 not plugged in: gain 0 dB
Please interrupt the power supply prior to
taking these steps, unless expressly noted
otherwise.
The configuration described as follows will
result in settings for optimal operation:
▸
Setting the output impedance

Setting the pre-amplifier
3.2. Setting the output impedance
The value for the output impedance depends on
the type of wires used for signal transmission
from transmitter to receiver. Use the jumper J2
to set the output impedance:
Settings:
▸
Choose a value for the output impedance
relatively close to the value stated for the
cable used.
Jumper J2 plugged in = 90 ohms
Jumper J2 not plugged in = 125 ohms
▸
Example: In case you are using a Cat-5 cable
with an impedance of 100 ohms, you plug in
the jumper J2 to reduce the output impedance
to 90 ohms
