1.2.2.3 Serial
The Teldat C1+LS routers incorporates a multistandard serial interface to connect an external modem, POS or to
connect to a wide area network (WAN) such as X.25, Frame Relay, PPP, etc., (among other functions).
This requires a pluggable driver (V.24, V.35, V.36, X.21, RS-485) to operate.

1.2.2.4 Connecting the WWAN antenna
The Teldat C1+LS router has two connectors for the WWAN antennas. To assemble and dismantle the antennas,
simply screw them into the connectors labeled WWAN (located at the rear of the device).
You must install the antennas in the Teldat C1+LS router in order to improve the quality of the signal received and
sent by the Wireless WAN module (GPRS, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, etc.).
Note
Always install the WWAN antennas to achieve optimum performance from the router.
The device must have the corresponding software license installed in order to activate the Wireless
WAN interface.
Some cellular telephony technologies use antenna diversity techniques to improve the quality of the received signal
(HSUPA, CDMA EV-DO, etc.). For this reason the Teldat C1+LS router incorporates two WWAN connectors, labeled
Main and Diversity.
