Control Solution Troubleshooting
If your control solution testing is out of range (too high or too
low), it may be caused by the following:
• Wrong brand of control solution
• Control solution not at room temperature
• Expired or contaminated control solution
• Damaged test strip
• Meter malfunction
• Wrong ambient temperature (should be between 50˚F~104˚F).
• Check the expiration and open bottle date on the control
solution and on the test strips. Repeat testing using a new
test strip. If the result is still out of range, use a new bottle of
control solution and retest.
• If the problem persists, call Telcare at (877) 777-4710. Do not
perform any blood glucose tests until you resolve this issue.
