Prerequisites

Refer to page 4--1
Warm up the analyzer for more than 20 minutes and

the frequency counter for more than 24 hours.

Prepare for the calibration:

See the following figure for the hookup.

BNC coaxial cable

Power off the RSA3408B analyzer and the signal generator.

Connect the analyzer and the generator with GPIB cable.

Connect the analyzer

Input

through a 10 dB attenuator followed by a

N-N coaxial cable to the generator output.

Power on the analyzer and the generator.

Set the GPIB address of the generator, ranging from 1 to 30.

Connect the reference output of the frequency counter through a 50

BNC coaxial cable to the reference input of the signal generator.
