Click the
Restart
button. The Alarms and Events area displays the
NO ERRORS message if the looped network has no errors.

On the Diagnostics tab, select one or more error types in the Insert
Error area. . If you select
Logic
, make sure to also select a BERT
pattern.

Click the
Insert
button. The Alarms and Events area replaces the
NO ERRORS message with a count of the error types that you
inserted.
12.
Select other BERT patterns and error types to test your network.
13.
When done with the loop testing, click the
Loop Down
button to
deactivate the remote loop.
14.
Click the
Insert
button to send a logic error. The YBT100 should
not show any errors. This step veri
fi
es that the network loop is
down (has been deactivated).
Monitoring a DS3 Signal (YBT100DS3 Only)
The following is an example of how to set up non-intrusive monitoring
of a DS3 signal at a DSX-3 panel.

Connect a DS3 coaxial cable from the DSX-3 panel
