Getting Started

On the

Diagnostics

tab, click

Insert

. The Alarms, Events, and

Logic areas show Out Of Frame (OOF), BPV, F-Bit, and BERT
errors.

7.

Unplug the bantam cable from both DS1 A jacks. The Alarms area
shows one or more alarm conditions, with the primary alarm being
a loss of signal (LOS). The Receive Signal area also shows a NO
SIGNAL message.

8.

Connect the bantam cable between the DS1 B

RCV

and

XMT

jacks.
